Please post pictures of your cages here so as to help others when thinking of enclosure designs for their young ones. This is my cage: *Please note* Wire floors are NOT safe for rabbit feet. They can cause hock sores and can cause the loss of digits, or even limbs. Otis, one of my previous buns, lost a toe due to my ignorance of this fact: I have now covered the entire floor (using tiles, linoleum and Coir mats) to prevent this happening again. This cage was hand made by my pop, its not great to look at, but it is an excellent cage It is a day cage for my female rabbit, Domino, she is indoors at night. Cosmo is a completely indoor rabbit (until he gets desexed).

Next time I'm around my grandparents I'll snap a pic of the cages some of my bunnies used to be housed in. But the cages were wooden, about 1.5m long, roughly 85cm high and about 60cm wide. I got those two cages for $50 each I think. My bunnies were outside bunnies

Are wire floors ok when they are on the ground, or not at all? I can't remember what my buuny's cage looks like because he doesn't live at my place or my cat might get too interested

I think as long as the wire isnt too loose (ie chicken wire) it *should* be ok, but maybe try and reduce the amount of wire he is standing on by adding tiles or coir/seagrass mats Katie- It would be great to see pics of the cages $50>> What a bargain ;D

I use old wardrobes/cupboards tipped on their side, I cut out the doors and put wire in. I don't have any photos, as the cages I currently have are old and not very nice to look at(one has a big hole chewed in the back of it, and the other is stained from bucks spraying), but when I make more I'll post some pics.
I scab the wardrobes from council cleanups, so all they cost me is the wire ;D
