Hi! I've only noticed recently that my bunny Thumper has had issues with straining to go to the toilet. There were small signs of urine scald as well so I took her to the vet. After getting the results back from 2 urinalysis, they think Thumper has chronic renal failure cos her urine is dilute, no crystals were grown and there was no sign of bacteria. The vet wants me to take an average of how much water she drinks, but my rabbit roams free in the backyard during the day and only goes into her hutch at night and doesn't seem to drink much water from her bowl, so I don't know if she's getting water from elsewhere. Secondly the vet suggested a blood test for her. Thumper has a real disliking for people handling her so I'm kinda not too keen to have her jabbed as well. However the questions I want to ask is, whether the blood test is important if it's determined that she has chronic renal failure and secondly does anyone know how to manage this well, given there is no cure? Any feedback would be great
